Dr. Strange In The Multiverse of Madness Trailer Reaction, Easter Eggs & Predictions

So, after my initial reaction to the next & latest, highly anticipated MCU film, I went ahead and meticulously viewed the trailer again.

I already pointed out in my trailer, Patrick Stewart more than likely reprising his iconic role as Professor X. View my initial reaction here for that and the trailer in general.

Since the merger of Fox/Disney/Marvel, fans have been patiently waiting OG X-Men/Fantastic Four crossover. The addition of Professor X could mean that the unknown group of folks arresting and holding Strange in trial could only mean the introduction of The Illuminati not to be confused with the conspiracy theorists’ wet dream but the comic book group of important figure heads.

The group includes the aforementioned Professor X, Iron Man, Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic, Captain America, Black Bolt, Namor, Black Panther and Dr. Strange himself. The Illuminati being comprised of such heavy hitters could be introduced to the MCU by way of this next phase film.

Also noted when making my thumbnail was the possibility of What If’s Captain Carter making a live action debut. Her shield was totally hinted in the Dr. strange sequel poster. She was already seen in What If helping Dr. Strange and we all know she is very aware of the multiverse. I also heard from others that Deadpool has been rumored to be making another 4th wall breaking appearance. But I haven’t heard much else save for hearsay from wishful thinking from the poster.

That brings us to Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch. We were pump faked with seeing her brother played by Evan Peters who played Quicksilver in the Fox X-Men franchise. Although the trailer hints at her being a villain, I think her role will be more than meets the eye. Perhaps, she will use the multiverse to restore her family or bring back Vision.

Spider-Man: No Way Home has shown us multiverse crossovers and Wong mentions that him opening the doorway to multiple universes. So, in saving our universe, Strange has probably affected others. We see dilapidated buildings and backgrounds so there is no doubt that we will see more Dr. Strange villains such as Gargantos with his tentacles. He is seen attacking America Chavez who is another important Marvel character. She can open star-shaped portals, many of which we can see in the trailer.

There are so many goodies and Easter eggs that could lead to some dope cameos and scenes in Dr. Strange. Spider-Man and former Avengers flicks have shown us what a comic adaptation is capable of when in the right hands. That being said, I do not doubt Sam Raimi jumping in the director chair.

What are your thoughts? Are you excited for Dr. Strange In The Multiverse of Madness? Or are you going take a pass?

Until Next Time Kiddies,
Shalom
