I decided to post my trailer reaction here to the highly anticipated reboot/possible sequel, Candyman. There are so many tidbits that have not been revealed…classic Peele especially if you have seen his work already. I’m not really familiar with Nia DaCosta save for the flick Little Woods with Tessa Thompson. But I am excited to see one of my fav horror icons.
It stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen, Teyonah Parris, Cassie Kramer, Colman Domingo and Tony Todd. It is directed by Nia DeCosta and produced by Jordan Peele.
I tried searching for Tony Todd in the 80 times I’ve watched this trailer but I’m guessing his role as the titular character will be revealed later. Not sure but there was a lot of play on the shadows and reflections
Candyman opens nationwide in theaters in June 2020.
